Catherine Chiang is a Marketing Specialist at Exponential Talent where she manages the firm’s website and social media accounts, develops videos, designs graphics, and produces the firm’s monthly briefing on diversity and inclusion for clients and the general public.
Catherine received her Bachelor’s degree in Managerial Economics with a minor in Technology Management from UC Davis in 2017. The former, a surrogate for her preferred business administration degree, was wholly academic in nature; the latter was more practical and taught by professionals in the field which gave her an introduction to the challenges faced by women and people of color in the technology industry.
During her time at UC Davis, Catherine was a Media and Publicity Intern at the university’s Center for Student Involvement, a resource for the more than 800 student organizations. Simultaneously, as the Production Department Videographer for Aggie studios, she filmed and edited more than 100 videos. She was also president of the Asian American Association and the Director of Fundraising for the Upsilon Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi.
Currently based in the Philippines, she also works in plastic packaging where she aims to launch a sustainable product line. She speaks Tagalog, Hokkien, and basic Mandarin.
Catherine is also passionate about making the world more inclusive and has initiated research projects such as examining the impact of US immigration policies on children who are separated from their families.
