Guide to Using Focus Groups to Understand Diversity and Inclusion Experiences

Focus groups are a tried-and-true technique for listening to different perspectives. However, D&I focus groups need even more care and attention to craft an intentional process that builds psychological safety than do most focus groups. D&I focus groups relate to people’s identities and personal life experiences, so people often feel very vulnerable when discussing these topics at work.
