Consultant - DE&I Strategies and Education
Megan Wilson-Reitz, M.A. (she/her) is a justice educator, systems change strategist and DEI consultant with more than 20 years of experience in group facilitation, training, and community organizing. She specializes in adult education on matters of social and economic justice with particular focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging; policy creation; popular education; social movement building; and strategic planning.
New to the ET team, Megan has served as an independent DEI consultant for corporate clients such as Procter & Gamble and nonprofit organizations such as the Ignatian Spirituality Project, providing strategic planning support, professional development workshops, and board development programs for equity, inclusion and belonging.
In Megan’s most recent role, she headed the US-Canada Province office for Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation for the Society of the Sacred Heart, an international women’s religious order. Prior to that, she served for eight years in the institutional DEI office for John Carroll University, where she was responsible for ensuring consistent progress towards the institution’s DEI goals, strategic planning, and key initiatives. She also brings 12 years’ experience in curriculum design and inclusive adult education strategies from her work in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at John Carroll University, where she teaches courses in economic justice and social ethics.
Megan holds a Master of Arts in Religious Studies from John Carroll University and a BA from Baldwin Wallace University. Her writing has been published in academic collections as well as popular publications, and she is a frequent speaker on topics of ethics and justice for schools, social justice organizations, and faith-based groups, including the Ignatian Solidarity Network, Jesuit Retreat Center, LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland, and many others. She serves on the Board of Directors for the InterReligious Task Force on Central America in Cleveland, Ohio, where she lives.
