Associate Consultant & Project Manager

Melodie Walker is an Associate Consultant and Project Manager in our diversity and inclusion analytics and design.
Melodie contributes to numerous projects as an indispensable team member with a versatile and ever evolving set of skills. In particular, she is adept at quantitative and qualitative analyses. She works on our quantitative analytics team where she enters, cleans and QAs HRIS demographic data, runs our model, and produces reports that help clients understand their baselines and begin to diagnose bright spots and opportunities to improve diversity. She contributes to the development of custom surveys on employee engagement and company culture and analyzes results to identify insights on how members of different demographic groups experience the processes and culture at their companies. Melodie also works with clients to collect qualitative data and collaborates to produce analyses of focus groups, interviews and other data.
In addition to analysis, Melodie manages projects both externally to drive client program implementation as well as internally to deliver projects on time and within budget. Her technical skills with different software, including programming in Microsoft Excel and graphics work in Adobe InDesign, enable her to contribute to client projects, content creation and website design and maintenance. Paired with her natural artistic talent to design visually effective content, this makes her the go-to team member for creating new educational content for client workshops. Most recently, she assumed a pivotal role in designing the visual aspects of the company’s marketing and branding project, a diversity and inclusion toolkit.
Melodie began her career as an intern with Exponential Talent in 2014 while earning a double bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Neurobiology at UC Davis. Through her coursework she gained a foundational knowledge of the human brain and how it operates, using this knowledge to support her research-based work in unconscious bias in the workplace.
