Sharon Jank is a social psychologist, researcher, and DEI consultant committed to translating academic research for impactful industry-friendly solutions. Sharon brings nearly 15 years of academic and consulting experience to problem solving in the DEI space and deeply values collaborating with organizations to guide sustainable change toward inclusion and equity for all employees. Sharon has deep expertise in the ways organizational structure, culture, and processes can amplify or mitigate inequities across the employee life cycle.
Sharon holds a PhD from Stanford University and her work has been featured in The Atlantic, The New York Times, Slate.com, and The American Sociological Review. Her research on anonymous auditions in tech is considered leading-edge in the field. She has contributed to major initiatives at Stanford University’s Clayman Institute for Gender Research and was a National Science Foundation Research Fellow. She also is a recurring guest speaker in the Engineering Equity course at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
Sharon has lived in the Bay Area for almost 15 years and currently resides in Oakland, CA.
